| It
has been my distinct pleasure to work with Douglas E. Pike, whose "Doubtful
Accounts" cartoon series has blazed a new trail in business journalism. Doug's
unique blend of humor and business savvy will most definitely earn him a place
in the finance hall of fame.
Doug provided several original illustrations for my book, "Traders' Tales,"
a collection of humorous anecdotes about life on Wall Street. Doug's contribution
was immense and has helped propel sales of the book well beyond the publisher's
expectations.
I highly recommend Douglas Pike to anyone who wishes to employ his services. His
inspired pieces are delivered with unique promptness, efficiency and style. Doug
is a true professional in his field.
I would be happy to discuss my experiences with Doug at a time of mutual convenience.

31, 1996 Dear Mr. Pike: I
have received the cartoon illustrations you sent us recently. Although they are
wonderful and quite comical I don't think we will be able to use them. Nonetheless,
I thank you for sharing them with me. They really are ingenious.
Sincerely, Muriel

As editor of The Business Journal in Phoenix, I have had the pleasure of working
with Douglas Pike, who has used his considerable talent to provide our newspaper
with cartoons for our editorial page.
His "Doubtful Accounts" business-related work has appeared periodically
in our publication over the past two years. In fact, we have recently started
using his work more frequently.
The humor in his work is aimed very accurately at our readers, business men and
women in the Greater Phoenix area and around Arizona.
He always has been receptive to our suggestions concerning his work and has generously
reformatted some of his work several times to fit our space requirements.
It has been a pleasure to use his work and I would certainly recommend his material
to other editors. Sincerely,
John Genzalc Editor ************ We

of years (1990-1992), but we put 65,067 miles on the motorcycles' odometers (103,664

writing and the cartoons; I loved them. I'll certainly keep it in mind. Jim ************ |
